Frequently Asked Questions
The practical details before trying or buying LrTurboKeys.
Compatibility
- Which Lightroom version is this for?
- LrTurboKeys is built for Adobe Lightroom Classic on macOS.
- Does it work on Windows?
- No. The current release is macOS only.
- Does it need macOS permissions?
- Yes. macOS will ask you to allow Accessibility access so LrTurboKeys can respond to your keys and mouse wheel while you edit in Lightroom Classic.
- What can it control?
- Speed Keys can adjust common Develop controls such as exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, vibrance, saturation and white balance. The HSL wheel controls hue, saturation, luminance and black-and-white mix work.
Licensing
- What does the license include?
- A perpetual license for the version you buy, one year of downloadable updates, and two activations by default.
- How do updates work?
- LrTurboKeys checks for updates and shows a notice when a newer eligible installer is available. The notice opens the download page so you can install the current version over your existing copy.
- Can I try it before buying?
- Yes. The installer includes a 14-day trial so you can test it with your own Lightroom Classic workflow.
- Can I update during the trial?
- Yes. An active trial can use the current installer. After the trial ends, activate a paid license to keep using LrTurboKeys and receive included updates.
- Can I edit offline?
- Yes. The license system uses offline access windows so travel and field work do not block normal editing.
- Can I move to another Mac?
- Yes. Deactivate the old Mac first. If that is not possible, contact support.
Privacy and support
- Does LrTurboKeys upload photos or catalogs?
- No. The licensing service does not upload your photos, Lightroom catalogs, presets, edits or private creative work.
- What should I send for support?
- Your purchase email, macOS version, Lightroom Classic version, and whether the issue is installation, permission approval, activation, shortcuts or mouse wheel control. Use the support form so we have the details in one place.
