LrTurboKeys Help
Install it, open Lightroom Classic, allow the macOS permission when prompted, and start controlling common Develop work from your keyboard and mouse wheel.
Quick start
This is the normal first-run flow for a new Mac.
Run the installer
Download the trial or paid installer, open it, and follow the macOS steps.
Open Lightroom Classic
LrTurboKeys is made for the Develop workflow in Adobe Lightroom Classic on macOS.
Allow Accessibility access
macOS asks for this so LrTurboKeys can respond to your keys and mouse wheel while Lightroom is frontmost.
Start the trial or activate
Use the 14-day trial, or open License from the LrTurboKeys menu bar icon and enter your license key after buying.
What it can do
LrTurboKeys is for repeated Lightroom adjustments where reaching for sliders slows you down.
Speed Keys
Hold a shortcut and use the mouse wheel, arrow keys or mouse movement to adjust Lightroom values such as Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, Blacks, Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation.
HSL Wheel
Open or hold the HSL wheel, choose a color slice, and adjust Hue, Saturation, Luminance or B&W mix without losing sight of the image.
Customize
Change shortcuts and adjustment steps in LrTurboKeys so your most-used Lightroom controls sit under the keys that feel natural to you.
Default shortcut reference
This is the default layout for the main controls included with the current installer. You can customize shortcuts and adjustment steps in LrTurboKeys.
| Area | Default keys | What they control |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 1 2 Q W E R T A S D F G 3 4 |
Temperature, Tint, Exposure, Contrast, Dehaze, Rotate, Texture, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, Blacks, Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation. |
| HSL Wheel | Ctrl W Ctrl Shift H Ctrl Shift J Ctrl Shift K Ctrl Shift L |
Toggle the wheel, or hold the wheel for Hue, Saturation, Luminance and B&W mix. |
Hold Shift for larger adjustment steps. Double-click the active control to reset it to its default value.
Customize it
LrTurboKeys includes a configuration window for changing shortcuts and adjustment steps. Start with the default layout, then tune it around the controls you use every day.
When something does not respond
- Confirm Lightroom Classic is open and frontmost.
- Confirm macOS Accessibility access is enabled for LrTurboKeys.
- Restart Lightroom Classic after installation or after changing permissions.
- Use Support if activation, permissions or shortcuts still fail.
Installing an update
When LrTurboKeys tells you an update is available, open Downloads, close Lightroom Classic, run the current installer, then reopen Lightroom Classic. Your license and activation stay on the Mac.
Privacy
LrTurboKeys licensing does not upload photos, catalogs, presets or edits. The online service handles trials, license activation, license refresh and support records.
If a shortcut or wheel adjustment does not behave as expected, send a support request with your macOS version, Lightroom Classic version and a short description of what happened.
